Hyper-V allows you to run virtual machines on Windows 10. Multiple VMs can be run simultaneously, as long as you have sufficient resources such disk space, RAM and CPU power. Hyper-V is compatible with Windows, Windows Server, as well as Linux guest operating systems.
Hyper-V, a Microsoft-owned Windows Hypervisor platform Type-1 that allows users to run high-performance virtual machines, is owned by Microsoft. You will not be able to turn Hyper-V on or off if you're using Windows 10 Home Edition. This is because it's only available for Windows 10 Professional, Education and Enterprise Editions. You can still download, install, and enable Hyper-V on Windows 10 Home via the command line.
